March Installation

Our computer is finally back from the "genius" bar. Before the great crash there were several post we had lined up with photos already edited. So this is all a bit late but most definitely noteworthy.

That being said it was exciting getting back to curating at 1239 Congress. The March show was our first show of the year because January was the 1239 Congress fundraiser and we took a Mardi Gras hiatus during February due to the volume of events in the city. The show featured Thaddeus Conti, James Tascio, & Patrick McIntyre.

Thaddeus Conti

Conti's coloring book was released the night of the show his drawings and other publications were also available.

James Tascio
Tascio's work is mixed media on found objects, he also tends to incorporate his writings.

Patrick McIntyre
McIntyre's architectural paintings are on found wood; his sculptures are carved concrete and wood.

I also had the pleasure to sit in on one of the installations at the Mother Ship Gallery on Mazant Street. They are also a multi-artist collaborative whose openings coincide with the St. Claude Art District 2nd Saturday Art Walk. There show this month was a black and white show called Dark Matter.

Stay tuned for highlights from the openings.
